Childhood vs.Adulthood
In Holden point of view it's very hard to see where he stands in childhood or adulthood, could be be standing on a very thick line and not know it? Well to me he is standing on that line because the way he presents himself and talks to adults is adulty, he makes himself feel very much older then he his, but on the other side of the line i can see where he is still a child struggling to find a way out. Holden's childhood to me is like a big door and he can close it most anytime he wants but always on the other side of the door there is still a child there waiting for it to open, But i think this is a way for most people to look at it, and hes just like everyone else in this sense.

I agree, I think that Holden is standing in between childhood and adulthood. I think he doesn't really know where he wants to stand, because he wants the freedoms of being an adult, but he isn't ready to let go of his childhood. I think it could also be because of his brother Allie; because he was in his past and maybe he is afraid if he grows up, he'll forget about Allie.
